Tootsie:Tootsie is a gorgeous caramel chocolate 6 month old female Great Dane puppy. She is an unusual color that is similar to a blue, but instead is the color of caramel. She and her sister, Twinkle Toes, were given up together and they are both as cute and lovable as can be. Tootie was likely named after the “Tootsie Roll” candy that she resembles. She loves everyone and is great with kids and all other animals. She is an exuberant puppy when she plays, but is calm and loving when she cuddles. She is looking for the best home on earth where she will be happy and safe for life.

Twinkle Toes: Twinkle Toes is a gorgeous black with golden eyes and very white paws and racy white markings 6 month old female Great Dane puppy. Her large white paws are likely why she was named “Twinkle Toes,” not that they ‘twinkle’ as she walks or anything like that, but they are really large and adorable! Twinkle Toes is fun-loving and so sweet that you just want to hug her and kiss her every minute of the day! |

Gidget: Gidget is a “Dane-eraner.” She is a gorgeous all blue Great Dane Weimeraner who was given up by her teary owners when they moved and were unable to take her. She is the size of a Dane and looks just like a Dane, but with a slightly stockier build, almost more like a Dane Mastiff. Gidget is about as perfect a girl as can be. Impeccably trained and well behaved, she is outgoing, yet calm and loving at all times. She is ready to play or to cuddle and loves everyone – great with kids, all animals, she is amazing. She would make an incredible service and therapy dog. Gidget also loves to swim and knows how to dive, slide and use an innertube! Ally: Ally is a beautiful and sweet 1 year old young female Harlequin Great Dane. Her owner moved and gave her up to a shelter when she was unable find a place that would let her have a dog. We rescued Ally on her last day. She is loving and sweet and gets along with everyone. She is very playful and also very affectionate. Kitty Baby: Kitty Baby is a wheaten fawn Great Dane Irish Wolfhound Greyhound. She is a 1 year old puppy who looks like a Wolfhound, very much like Casey on our Irish Wolfhound page, but she will have shorter hair because of the Great Dane and Greyhound part of her. She is loving and sweet and great with all other animals, dogs, cats, everyone. She was raised with a baby, so although she is still a puppy herself, she is extra gentle and very well trained in the house. She can play with the smallest 2 pound hairless dogs here and be gentle and perfect, yet can handle the biggest dogs as well in a happy, playful way. Lollipop: Lollipop is an incredibly beautiful and loving Mocha Merlequin Great Dane female one year old. She is calm and sweet, and even gentle and loving with babies. |

Chovie: Chovie is named after an "Anchovie" as part of a sea loving family of sailors. Chovie is a a gorgeous Harlequin one year old female who is very tall and very sweet. |

Carmelita: Carmelita is a gorgeous fawnequin (Harlequin that is white with fawn spots) female seven months old Great Dane Saint Bernard. Carmelita's owner asked her friend to watch her precious baby Carmelita who she loved dearly when she went into the hospital, but unfortunately Carmelita's owner died of uterine cancer. The friend also loved Carmelita but was not able to have such a large dog where she lived. Carmelita has been an inside child her whole life and when we were first sent pictures of her at the friend’s house, she was inside in their living room wearing human clothes and looking very stylish. She is exceptionally well behaved and loves everyone and everything. She is calm and well-mannered in the house, loves kids and all other dogs. She is incredibly gorgeous too with her "Gemstone Eyes" -one is blue and one is brown. Carmelita is a big puppy who is still growing and is an outgoing "social tea-biscuit" of a girl who loves everyone! Daniel the Great: Daniel the Great is a young, silver merle male Great Dane. Daniel the Great was found by a shelter and seems to love everyone. He was housed with another dog at the shelter and loves all the dogs here as well - he loves everyone he has met. He is happy and exuberant, well trained and well behaved. Daniel is a gorgeous Great Dane who has unusual markings where he has a lot of black with swirls of silver merle coloring. We took Daniel out of the shelter on his last day, and we are always amazed that a dog as wonderful as he is could have actually been in danger of losing his life - but he was. Sarabi: Sarabi is a gorgeous and SOOOO loving young female silver merle Great Dane. She is friendly and outgoing and optimistic and has one of the sweetest temperaments we have ever seen. Holly: Holly is a gorgeous and huge young harlequin female Great Dane with cropped ears. She is loving to all and a true Gentle Giant. One of our adopters was going to the shelter to adopt a cat when they saw someone walking Holly into the shelter. Holly's then owner told our adopter that Holly was their son's dog but he got ill and could not keep her so they were bringing her to the shelter. They told the owner about us and brought Holly to us. Fortunately, thanks to our adopters who turned out to be a true "Canine Crusader Superheroes” (see our program at this link: (http://www.gentlegiantsrescue.com/canine_crusaders_page_1.htm#crusaders1) that day for saving Holly from ever being locked up and in danger in the shelter, Holly came right into our home and has been with everyone and is as sweet and loving and happy as can be! Pantara is wonderful with other dogs and feels safe with a friend. She is wweet to all once she gets over being shy and babyish. |

Penelope: Penelope is an adult Great Dane who was adopted from us as a puppy, lived with kids, cats and dogs and was returned when her owners hit hard times and could no longer keep her. She is a great girl who loved everyone. |

Midnight: Midnight is a young all black and smooth coated Great Dane Saint Bernard
that has the same coat as a Great Dane. He is tall like a Dane and has the Dane look but is wider and his head is in between the Dane and the Saint in his handsome great looks. Midnight is young and playful, but is shy at first. Once he knows you, he is Mr. Social and ready to play, but is Mr. Big Baby at first. We are working to get him over this. He came here with his very outgoing sister, Dotty, when the owners could not afford to pay them out of the shelter when they got out of their yard. Dotty was what we would call the "front runner" in that she was so outgoing that when she was adopted, Midnight became worried about meeting people without her and is still working on that. He is great with all dogs and would do really well with another outgoing dog to help him feel comfortable enough to be the outgoing boy we want him to be. |

Sadie Taiwan: Sadie is an incredibly gorgeous supermodel of a Harlequin Great dane who somehow wound up in a shelter in Taiwan with her baby Natalie and without much hope in sight. Both Natalie and her mom were ill and skinny and needed to be saved. Brandi: Brandi is a gorgeous, sweet and loving character of a harlequin female Great Dane. Brandi wound up in a shelter in Taiwan along with her sister and we rescued her and flew her all the way to the US to save her life and to make sure that she would never be in danger again. Brandi came here with holes all over her from bed sores and was completely emaciated from being at the shelter. She has now completely recovered and has filled out and looks incredible. She has also had several eye surgeries because she came with an irregular third eyelid and after her surgery, she looked so beautiful and incredible we thought she was home free. Unfortunately, the biopsy came back showing that her eye would need to be removed. She has just got back from this surgery and is as cute and spunky as she has ever been. She is happy and loving and really grateful to know that she has been saved and have overcome great odds to be where she is now - ready to find the home that will love and adore her forever! Fortunately for Brandi, we are now rescuing many incredible super wonderful dogs from Taiwan who will now have the chance to live Great Lives as members of the family where they will be happy and safe for life.
